Dear Parent/ Carer,
The Perth and Kinross Music Foundation is a registered charity and aims to financially support young musicians who attend state school in Perth and Kinross. If you are on low income and in receipt of Working Tax Credits, high Child Tax Credits or have very exceptional financial circumstances we may be able to provide some financial assistance to you.
This year, if you wish to apply for financial assistance with Tuition and/or Central Groups fees for the academic session of 2017-18, please complete the APPLICATION FORM and send the form with photocopied evidence of any Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit or any other awards or income relevant to the tax year 2017-18, to the Foundation Secretary at the address stated on the form.
The Trustees will consider all applications sympathetically and will treat each case individually and confidentially. Please do complete the form as clearly as possible. To cut down on postal costs, it is our intention to email acknowledgement, queries and the final application decision where possible.
The Foundation is currently in the process of contacting present, and potential, sponsors and supporters to raise funds for the academic year of 2017-18. Please be advised that decisions regarding assistance may not take place until later in the academic year, though we hope to advise you as soon as possible.
Meantime, if you have submitted an application for assistance to us and you receive an invoice from Perth and Kinross Council, please let the Council know that you have
written to us and are awaiting a decision. You may choose to make arrangements with the Council for payment of Fees. If you are then awarded assistance, any payments you have made will be refunded to up to the amount of assistance awarded.
Also please be advised that a new application for assistance must be made to the Foundation for each academic year.
